Probability and Statistics ::.
The group of Probability and Statistics has two main objectives: to develop fundamental research on Probability and Mathematical Statistics, and to use the concepts and the methodologies from those fields in applied research programs, like technological, clinical, biological or social scientific projects.
The scientific activities of the group include regular seminars and workshops with colleagues from applied departments, as well as the participation in national and international scientific meetings.

I Workshop of Probability and Statistics group — Interdisciplinarity and applications —HERE
For celebrating the International Year of Statistic and the Mathematics of Planet Earth 2013 (MPE 2013), the group of Probability and Statistics (P&S) of the Center for Research & Development in Mathematics and Applications of University of Aveiro (CIDMA-UA) announces a half-day workshop focused on interdisciplinarity and applications of statistical methodologies on different scientific areas. The main purpose is to strengthen links among researchers of the P&S group and participants who apply or intent to apply probability and statistical methods in their research works
